Large Corporate Hangar Bay Available For Rent to Part 91 Operator :
The west bay of our two-bay corporate hangar in Tampa has recently become available for rent. Unfortunately, local Aviation Authority regulations limit us to hosting only Non-Part 121 & 135 aircraft. For the right large aircraft operator (or operator of multiple smaller aircraft), this hangar has several value-added features that make it a truly exceptional, money-saving bargain.
The foremost of these features is an on-site fuel farm, with two 12,000-gallon fuel tanks. This permits the purchase of fuel at wholesale prices, avoiding the retail markup that occurs even with home-base discounts at FBOs. While fuel prices fluctuate constantly, our wholesale fuel prices tend to hover about $2/gal. below even the base-discounted FBO fuel in the area. (As of July 6th, 2009, our Jet-A fuel costs $2.30/gal.) Frequently, this also makes tankering fuel much more economical than buying it off-station, thereby saving even more money. If fuel costs are an exorbitantly high percentage of your budget, this feature has the potential to slash those costs immediately.
Two spacious offices provide plenty of room for your staff, as well as shared maintenance, flight planning and passenger lounge facilities. Both offices feature exterior windows in addition to windows facing into the hangar. Both also have custom-built shelves & cabinets for storage. A WSI weather terminal, large refrigerator, and commercial ice and coffee machines round out the pre-flight preparation suite, while your passengers will appreciate the convenience of wireless internet in the passenger lounge. In addition to the restroom available near the passenger lounge, there is also another restroom upstairs which features a shower and lockers for employee use. Parking is plentiful & secure within the fenced parking lot, which is accessed via a code-controlled automatic gate. For passenger convenience & cargo loading, there is direct vehicular access to the aircraft parking ramp, both through the hangar and via a separate gate.
Another noteworthy and money-saving feature is the on-hand availability of shared aircraft servicing equipment, including stands, lifts, aircraft jacks, and fabrication equipment. This permits a greater portion of aircraft maintenance to be taken care of in-house versus suffering the additional expenses of off-station, third-party maintenance. In addition to the main shop, there are dedicated shop areas for tire/wheel build-up, parts cleaning and avionics/electronics repair. 220v power is available to operate your ground carts and other equipment, while there is a shared heavy duty tug for moving aircraft into and out of the hangar.
We are constrained by the terms of our long-term Aviation Authority lease to sharing only the actual operating costs of the hangar property...as well as being restricted to FAA Part 91 operations at the hangar. If you would like additional photos or information about the property, please contact me at your earliest convenience.
